Egypt issued a mandatory safety standards for toys
Xiamen WTO workstati 2008/12/25 3:19:00May 4, 2010, the Egyptian Organization of Standardization and Quality released G/TBT/N/EGY/16 No. communications, announced on the "toy safety" standards. According to regulations, toys must meet the related mechanical and physical properties, flammability, and migration of certain elements of the safety requirements. The following major elements:
• l, Part 1 toys, mechanical and physical properties of the special requirements and test methods;
• l Part 2 covers all the toys to prohibit use of combustible materials, and involved in the case of fire, the flammability of certain toys when requested;
• l Part 3 provides raw materials and toys from the toy parts in the migration of elements antimony, arsenic, barium, cadmium, chromium, lead, mercury and selenium in the special requirements and test methods.
These standards are mandatory, and compliance with European standards (EN) and EN 71-1,2,3. Ratification and entry into force of the notification date to be determined, the notification deadline for comments 60 days from the date of distribution.
